Enjoy your therapy sessions from anywhere! (almost)

We offer video conferencing therapy sessions with our easy to use telehealth system.

Enjoy your therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home or away from home! (*See the Psypact map to confirm approval for your location).  Virtual sessions conveniently save driving time and gas, making it easy to fit self-care into your busy schedule.

Video appointments are easy to do! Here's how to prepare for virtual appointments:

First, which type of device will you use to connect? Laptop or PC? Great! There's NO APP needed!

Just click on the "join video session" link in your email and it will open automatically!

Or, will you use a smart phone or tablet? No problem! Download the Telehealth by Simple Practice App!

Using phone or tablet? Download the app!

Then close the app, you don't do anything with it. Go to your email and click the video link--this automatically opens the app for your session. You may be asked to enter your name and to allow your microphone and camera for your session. That's it!

Now, let's get ready for our session:

  • Approximately 15 minutes before your appointment, you'll receive an email/text appointment reminder with a unique link. Click the link and it will automatically open the app and insert the link for you.
  • It's recommended to join the video appointment a few minutes early to test your settings.
  • Quiet your surroundings.  Wind, loud pets, televisions, or music may interfere with sound quality.  It's best to use earpods or headphones.
  • Turn off notifications and enable the “Do Not Disturb” function on your device so that your session is not disrupted.
  • Please do not hold your device or rest it on your lap, but instead secure it on a stable surface throughout the session.
  • Ensure that you are alone in a location with privacy (telehealth cannot occur while you are driving or in a public setting.)
  • If I have already joined the call, you will see my face on the screen. If I have not, you will see the cartoon waiting room (see photo below).  Note: There may be a slight delay for me to join the appointment if I am finishing with a previous appointment. Please be patient and I will join momentarily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have a telehealth session while I'm driving or shopping?

Telehealth sessions cannot occur while you are driving or in a public setting.

What should I do if I didn't get the reminder email with the link?

If you don't see the reminder email 10-15 minutes in prior to your appointment time,  please check your spam folder (it's often found in there!)   You can also log into your client portal and connect to the session from the appointment list.

Are Telehealth (video) sessions private?

Just like a face-to-face appointment, your telehealth visit is private and confidential. Ensure that you are alone in a private location, and please disclose anyone who may be within listening range during your appointment.

Will the appointments be recorded?

Our appointments are never recorded or stored. Likewise, by using our service you agree not to record, photograph or have other local listening devices in use during our session.

What can I do to improve the quality of the connection?

If you live in an area with slow internet, this may impact the speed of your connection. Here are some basic steps that can improve the overall quality:

***Restart your device.

***Use wired Ethernet instead of wifi whenever possible.

***Close other programs.

***Test your internet connection speed. Google provides an easy way to test your internet connection directly from the google homepage. Simply search: internet speed test. Click the blue button that says Run Speed Test. If it is under 10mbps and you’re using wifi, try using a wired internet connection or restarting your router.

If you are unable to connect, please contact us at (239) 561-9955 as soon as possible for assistance.  If you don't connect with your provider by 10 minutes after the appointment time, someone will call you. It may be from a private number so make sure private callers are not blocked on your phone.

Thank you for taking the time to review these instructions. As always, never hesitate to contact us for assistance! Please call (239) 561-9955.
