My passion to find a career that provides me with the opportunity to help others led me to my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Florida Gulf Coast University, where training to become a mental health professional has allowed me to fulfill this passion and make a difference in people’s lives.
I am currently enrolled in my third and final year of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at FGCU. Through this program, I have completed several different internships that have each provided me with a diverse foundation of knowledge and skills which contributed to the development of my therapeutic approach. I have worked at Associates in Family Psychology since 2019, further supplementing my education and clinical experiences through immersion in maintaining a psychology office.
As a student counseling intern, I strive to continuously learn, adapt, and develop new ways to meet the needs of my clients. My approach includes cognitive behavioral interventions and client-centered collaboration to provide you with the tools you will need to both clarify and achieve your goals. Developing a strong therapeutic relationship and providing a secure counseling environment play an important role in my approach. My areas of interest include working with children and adolescents, stress management, life balance, as well as management of anxiety and depression.
