During the course of a lifetime, every individual will come across challenges and situations that may feel overwhelming. Taking that first step to speak with someone can be a powerful moment, as insight and clarity can empower an individual to make proactive changes in his or her life.
As a clinical psychologist, my primary goal is to provide a safe space within the therapeutic relationship to explore and gain awareness of current challenges, past behavioral patterns, and coping skills. As a therapist, I work collaboratively with my clients to identify goals and develop treatment plans to address challenges and enhance their quality of life. Identifying core values, finding meaning, and developing purpose in the everyday is critical to living life fully and joyfully.
My treatment approach is tailored to the individual, utilizing evidence-based treatments from cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. With each client, I utilize the interventions that work best for the individual, and approach each person holistically, incorporating aspects such as health, wellness, and cognitive strength.
I provide therapy addressing issues as varied as depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, life stage transition, bereavement and interpersonal conflict. My treatment goals focus on working collaboratively with individuals to successfully manage the challenges and experiences in life, all while discovering the positive opportunities that are inherent in any life stage.
In our sessions, I strive to develop an open and non-judgmental collaborative relationship to explore barriers, personal strengths, past and present relationships and behavioral patterns that make up each unique individual. The hardest step can be walking through that door; once you make that first step, you will not be alone in your journey towards finding enjoyment through purpose and meaning in everyday life.
